IDLE ON GASOLINE!
The PRIMER PLUS system has became the standard in priming systems for methanol burning engines. This system can be extremely versatile and can be used in a number of ways including:
- As a basic priming system for starting the engine. The equally distributed mist of fuel from the specially designed spray bar results in excellent cold starting capabilities for your methanol engine.
- It can be used as a gasoline idling system to aid in warming the engine and driveline components on race day or for routine weekly maintenance. The engine will warm to 160-180 degrees of water temperature . If desired, with the turn of a knob, a slightly leaner mixture is achieved, and 180 degrees of water temperature can be reached in a matter of minutes. This knob also fine tunes your idle speed.
- The PRIMER PLUS can be used for all of the racecar's activities from the pits, to the burnout box and back to the trailer after a pass.
- 92 or 93 octane pump gas is recommended for use if this system but the user can also use racing gasoline.

There are other forms of this system on the market and many have made their own homemade system. That is great and is relatively easily done component-wise for the "do-it-youselfer".
Be aware that after paying for components and shipping from several sources are factored in (not to mention your time to build and tweak) you will have saved only a small amount of money and you will have to hope it works properly.
